M-1.1.3.7.6.3.
Mary Ann Purvis
Biographical Information: MARY ANN PURVIS, born before 1846. Living (March 1866) and cited (May 1867) as resident in Beaufort, South Carolina, "of full age" (so presumably born before 1846) when Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above) petitioned in Warren County, Mississippi, for final settlement of the executry of her uncle John Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.2. above). [Note: "Miss Mary Ann Purvis of Charleston, South Carolina" appears (March 1866) as a surviving heir (i.e. niece) of John Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.2. above) when the heirs petitioned the court in Warren County, Mississippi, against the executor Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above). Probably she would have been a daughter of William Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.6. above), but might have been the same person as Charlotte Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.6.2. above) as Charlotte would also have been a surviving heir of John Purvis in March 1866 and is not mentioned separately in the petition.]
