Fanny Lennox Blackie (or Blaikie)
Biographical Information: FANNY LENNOX BLACKIE or BLAIKIE (spelt Blaikie on her marriage certificate), born c.1833/34 in Edinburgh, Scotland. No record of her (or her husband's) death in England 1860-1913 and no record of his death in Scotland 1870-1934. Scholar, living (31st March 1851) aged 18 at 5 Malta Terrace, Edinburgh. She is cited (May 1867) as resident in London, England, as Fanny Corbett (sic) “of full age” when Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above) petitioned for final settlement of the executry of her uncle John Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.2. above) and was a complainant (1870) in a case (see below) brought against Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above). Married (3rd July 1860 at St Stephens Church, Edinburgh) Arthur Corlett (born c.1834), mercantile clerk, living (1860) at 15 Southhampton Street, Strand, London, and living (1870) when joint complainant with his wife in a case brought against Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above), son of Arthur Corlett, Staff Officer in H.M. Forces, and of Mary Euston, having no children. [Note: A Thomas Arthur Corlett, purveyor to Her Majesty's Forces, was living (1855) at 38 Dublin Street, Edinburgh (i.e. next door to her mother's house).]
