Anne (or Anna Maria) Blackie (or Blaikie)

Biographical Information: ANNE (or ANNA MARIA) BLACKIE (or BLAIKIE), born c.1831 (as aged 35 when married in 1866) in Edinburgh, Scotland, died 13th February 1908 at 23 Gillespie Crescent, Edinburgh, aged 75 ?. Living (1851) aged 20 and unmarried with her grandmother Mary Brown Purvis (Polly), widow of Burridge Purvis (see 1.1.3.7. above), at 5 Malta Terrace, Edinburgh. Living (1866 when married) at 60 George Square, Edinburgh, the home (in 1853) of Archibald Young, husband of her sister Eliza Jane Blackie (see 1.1.3.7.4.3. above), who had died before March 1866. Anne M. Blackie (sic 1866), resident in Great Britain, or Anna Maria (Blackie) Mackay (sic 1870) appears (March 1866) as a petitioner in the court case in Warren County, Mississippi, against Thomas Purvis Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.6. above), executor of the will of her uncle John Purvis (see 1.1.3.7.2. above). She is given as resident in Edinburgh, and is still designated Anne Blackie (? so unmarried or maiden name cited) but "of full age" when Thomas Purvis Bruce petitioned for final settlement of this executry (May 1867). Married (12th June 1866 at 36 Castle Street, Edinburgh), as his 2nd wife (he being a widower), Alexander MacKay (born c.1821 as he was aged 45 when married (1866), died before 1908 when his wife died a widow), Minister of the United Free Church of Scotland, of Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, son of Murdoch MacKay (died before 1866) and Catherine Campbell (died before 1866). Not known if they had any children but none were present at her death.
