Biographical Information: IAIN CAMPBELL PURVIS, born 21st September 1960 in Toowoomba, Queensland. Qualified stock and meat inspector with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries from 1982, living and working (1985-92) in Longreach, Queensland, (1992) in sole charge at Normanton, North Queensland, (2003) District Stock Inspector and Quarantine Officer with the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service in Toowoomba, and (2010) Senior Biosecurity Officer with the Queensland Government Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, Toowoomba. Purchased (20th December 2003) 120 acres (48 hectares) grazing ground with “a lovely house site” near Toowoomba. Keen polocrosse sportsman and polocrosse horse trainer, Reserve in the Queensland Masters Team. Living (1996) in Normanton, (2003) in Toowoomba, and (2009) in Wilsonton, near Toowoomba, and at Broxburn, Queensland. Married (25th November 2000 in Queens Park, Toowoomba) Heather Kathleen Russell (Kath) (born 9th August 1959 in Rockhampton, Queensland), scientific assistant in a veterinary laboratory and (2010) Administration Officer with Toowoomba Regional Council Water Treatment Facility, keen hockey player representing Toowoomba in hockey and touch football, daughter of Keith Malcolm Russell (died before 2003) and Betty Lillian Wenham (born 16th April 1937, died 5th January 1987), having no children (2003).
