Biographical Information: JANE AGNES PURVIS, born 4th March 1927 at Spring Hill, Mobile, Alabama, died 1st (? 2nd) November 2009 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Living (2003) in Alexandria, where she had, hanging in the dining room, the original portrait painted (c.1840) in Edinburgh, Scotland, of her great-grandmother Mary Earle, wife of Robert Purvis (see 1.1.3.5.4. above). Married (9th November 1948 at Spring Hill College, Spring Hill) John Michael Hussey (born 28th April 1924 at Knoxville, Tennessee, died 10th April 2004 in Alexandria), son of Joseph Oliver Hussey and Hazel Anis Swaggerty, having eight children:-
