Biographical Information: GORDON WALLACE ADAM (WALLACE), born 10th December 1932 in Glasgow, Scotland, died 24th June 1984 at Carron Lodge, St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. Papermaker (from 1957) with the Guard Bridge Paper Company, Guard Bridge, near St Andrews, took over (1971) from his father as Manager and Managing Director of GB Papers Plc. until his death (1984), when the company was purchased by James River Corporation, Richmond, Virginia. Married (21st June 1956 in St Salvators College Chapel, University of St Andrews, St Andrews) Margaret Sheila Laird (Sheila) (born 2nd March 1931 at Munnar, Kerala State, India), living (2011) at St Andrews, eldest daughter of William Pringle Laird, tea planter at Munnar, and of Margaret Robina Batchelor, having four children:-
