Biographical Information: THOMAS PURVIS (or PURVES) BRUCE, born 9th January 1866 at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, died 1908 in Chile. Living (1871) with his parents at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline. Living (c.1901) at Taltal, Chile, and working with the Lantora Nitrate Company, when named as executor of his father's estate. Married Melina Hardcastle Reid, who was living (c.1908) at 34 Grove Street, Leamington, Warwickshire, England, when named executor of her husband's estate, having (at least) two sons:-
