Graduate in English of Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, with a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Senior Vice President at Fairchild Camera – Space & Defence Systems Division. Lived in Locust Valley, New York. Married (27th November 1941 in Brooklyn) Elizabeth Cameron Gabel (born 10th March 1921 in Brooklyn), who as a widow worked as an administrative assistant in a local college until she retired aged 86 (2007), living (2010) in a nursing home in Lititz, Pennsylvania, daughter of Phillip Henry Gabel (born 1890, married 1918, died 1950), architect, whose family came to the U.S.A. from Germany in the 1850s and were carpenters, and Elizabeth Cameron Livingstone (born 1896, died 1980), both of whose parents were from Glasgow, Scotland, having four children:-
