Biographical Information: ANDREW REID BRUCE, born 11th December 1855 at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, died 27th August 1938 at 22 Derby Road, Withington, Manchester, Lancashire, England. Member of the Ancient Society of Gardeners, Dunfermline (from 1895). Clerk (1871), linen warehouseman (1886 and 1889) and linen manufacturer (1901). Living (1861 and 1871) with his parents at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, (1886) at 23 Nelson Street, Chorlton-upon-Medlock, Manchester, (1889) at Park Avenue, Levenshulme, Manchester, (c.1901) at Mossbank, Levenshulme, when named as executor of his father's estate, and (1929) at Derby Road, Withington, when bequeathed £4000 (£1000 for each of his four children) in the will of his sister Isabella Laurie Bruce or Fisher (see 1.1.3.1.1.3.2. above). Married (29th April 1886 in the Upper Brook Street Chapel, Chorlton-upon-Medlock) Janis Dunlop Affleck (Jane) (born 1856, died 1940) of 76 Durie Grove, Chorlton-upon-Medlock, daughter of Joseph Affleck, accountant, having four sons:-
