Isabella Laurie (or Lawrie) (isa) Bruce

Biographical Information: ISABELLA LAURIE (or LAWRIE) BRUCE (ISA), born c. 1851/54 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, died 18th December 1929 (aged 78) at Newlands, Thistle Street, Dunfermline. Living 1861 and 1871, unmarried and aged 17, with her parents at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline. Living (1891), as a married woman, with her aunt Eliza Russell Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.5. below), under whose will she was a beneficiary (1893) for £10. Living (July 1929) at Newlands, Rose Street, Dunfermline. Married (3rd June 1879 at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, by James M. Shiach of the Free Church of Scotland) John Fisher (born c.1858, died 13th October 1928, aged 70, at Newlands, Rose Street, Dunfermline, lectern and memorial stained-glass window dated 1932 in Dunfermline Abbey (South transept main window) which depicts the marriage in 1070 of King Malcolm III (Canmore) of Scotland and Princess (later Saint) Margaret of Hungary and St Margaret instructing her children to give to the poor), who also left an endowment to pay choristers in Dunfermline Abbey, informant of the death (1899) (? 1901) of his brother-in-law James Bruce (see 1.1.3.1.1.3.1. above) of Newlands, Thistle Street, Dunfermline, damask manufacturer's salesman and linen manufacturer with the firm of Henry Reid & Son Limited, Dunfermline, Member of the Ancient Society of Gardeners, Dunfermline, son of Robert Fisher (died before 1928), general provision merchant and baillie, and of Margaret or Mary Kirk (died before 1928), having no children.
