Biographical Information: BELINDA JACK (Dr), born 4th February 1961. Graduated B.A. (Hons) from the University of Canterbury, Canterbury, Kent, England, M.A. (Oxford), D. Phil. (Oxford). Tutor in French (19th & 20th century French and Francophone literature) at Christ Church, University of Oxford, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, and Doctoral Research Fellow (British Academy Post) at the Modern Humanities Research Centre, University of Oxford, Oxford (1994), Student Fellow at Christ Church, University of Oxford, Oxford (2008). Author of: Francophone Literatures (Oxford University Press 1995), George Sand (Chatto & Windus 1999), Beatrice's Spell (Other Press 2005). Living (1994) in Oxford, and (2008) at Iffley, near Oxford. Married Rev. Dr Allan George Doig of Abingdon, Berkshire, England, art historian and chaplain at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, Oxfrod (1994 & 2008), tutor for graduates at Lady Margaret Hall (2010), having three sons (2008):-
